If you’ve never been to our practice before, here are two easy routes you could take, starting from the Hoffman Estates Branch of the Schaumburg Township District Library:
- Head south on Huntington Blvd, then turn right onto Higgins Rd. Turn left onto Moon Lake Blvd. After you pass the hospital, turn right, then right again on St Alexus Medical Center. Follow that around the bend, then turn left. We’re in the small building ahead, at 1585 Barrington Rd #506.
- Alternatively, you could head west on Hassell Rd, then turn left onto Barrington Rd. Turn left again into the St Alexus Medical Center, and turn left to drive around the back. Turn right towards the small building in the middle of the complex.

The story of Hoffman Estates began in the early 20th century when German settlers established roots in the area west of Roselle Road and north of Golf Road, a region once known as Wildcat Grove. For decades, this quiet, sparsely populated land remained largely untouched until the 1940s, when farmers began purchasing property and cultivating the area.
The true transformation came in 1954 when Sam and Jack Hoffman, a father-son construction team, purchased 160 acres and began developing the residential community that would eventually bear their family name. As homes were built and families moved in, residents came together to incorporate the area, officially establishing the Village of Hoffman Estates on September 23, 1959.
The 1960s and 1970s brought significant growth and change to Hoffman Estates. The opening of the Northwest Tollway made Schaumburg Township increasingly attractive to Chicago commuters, and strategic land annexations in the early 1960s more than doubled the village’s land area. The 1971 opening of Woodfield Mall in neighboring Schaumburg transformed the entire region into a major business and retail center, bringing new opportunities and prosperity to Hoffman Estates and surrounding communities.
